Artists’ Association of Punjab is a non profit organization.
Aims and Objectives
- To promote the arts and establish vibrant links with the citizens.
- To make people aware of their National and Universal cultural heritage and the necessity of the Arts as vitally important element for economic and intellectual development of both the individual and society.
- To ensure that the economic and social rights of the artists are protected.
- To organize exhibitions, seminars and lectures to promote a better understanding of the Fine Arts.
- To bring out publications on subjects concerning the Fine Arts.
- To encourage research and, collect and catalogue data and relevant material concerning artists and art movements in Pakistan.
- To endeavor and raise the level of the art criticism.
- To ensure freedom of expression for the artist and Society.
- To promote the teaching of fine arts in schools, colleges and other educational institutions.
- To support the establishment of museums and art galleries.
- To ensure that public and private collection of art are cataloged, in order to eventually establish a data base of Punjab/Pakistan painting
- To encourage the process of collaboration for better coordination between artists and the public, state and non-government agencies.
- To promote activities of legitimate art organizations.
- To federate with similar representative organization of artists of the other provinces to establish a National Association of artists of Pakistan.
